Inspiration
A memory jar with notes from guests
5 min read
Folded notes in a jar gather words and wishes you can read quietly later.
Set out a glass jar or box with paper and pens. Ask guests to write one thought, word, or memory and fold it.
Children may draw. The jar fills visibly through the day.
When to read
You may open notes right after the service or weeks later at home. Choose what you can bear.
You do not have to read aloud. Silence and tea are enough.
Keeping and sharing
Keep notes in the jar or bind them in a booklet. With permission, a line or two can go on a memorial page.
