Dear Remco, Maarten, Charlene and children, I always found Enny to be a very kind woman and I could laugh a great deal with her. I look back with gratitude on the moments I was allowed to share with her. I wish you much strength in processing your loss. With much love, Barbara

Dear Enny, we met only once in my photo studio, where I had the honour of photographing you and your husband Maarten, Remco, Char and the children. You were already ill then and your mind no longer worked well enough to take everything in. Yet we laughed together and created this beautiful memory with the cherished photos. Earthly life is over, but you can leave this troubled planet with pride. Your memories, love and wisdom will live on. Rest in contentment, pride and fulfilment, and leave your loved ones who will never forget you and are deeply grateful for what you did and meant! With a loving hug, The "crazy photographer" Ron

Enny came into my life as a home care helper. From the first moment we clicked. I enjoyed her warmth and cheerfulness. When she stopped working in home care she still visited me regularly; it was always pleasant. It always had to be on her initiative whether we saw each other; she accepted that without complaint. We lost touch, but she was and still is in my heart. A wonderful, kind, fun friend.

Dear all, Some years ago I met Enny through Charlene. Her friendly, kind presence struck me immediately. Afterwards I was able to meet her several times and experienced that her presence always made the atmosphere more beautiful and warmer. Heaven has gained an angel. The memories she leaves behind will help you bear this loss. Much strength to you, Maarten, Remco, children, grandchildren and all other family and friends.❤️

Dear Enny, I got to know you together with your husband at Het Zonnehuis. You were both present at all the enjoyable, convivial and musical activities. I will never forget your presence: the sidelong glances at a few wrong notes, the sparkles of fun in your eyes, the bond with your husband. You enjoyed the music and I enjoyed you. The last performance with the ukulele group was a precious moment. Warm regards from Caroline

Dear Enny, How strong and cheerful you were all that time! You sang like a nightingale, always knew the words and cheered everyone up at Het Zonnehuis! It was always wonderful to come there and sing along! I was your hairdresser; nobody was allowed to cut your hair, no, no! But when I said, I am Jeanne, your hairdresser, then it was fine and you received compliments! I will miss you. Love, Jeanne

My sister Enny, Enny was six years older than me. Because of that we were in different phases of life. Yet we did a great deal together. I was often allowed to go with her: to Drievliet, Artis, the cinema, the beach. It was always enjoyable. For me Enny was a very kind sister and I will certainly miss her deeply.

Dear Enny, To us you were, as Maarten's wife, a lovely sister-in-law. We cannot remember ever seeing you other than cheerful. Always upbeat, positive and full of stories. Even though in recent years you had some health problems and walking became more difficult, we never heard you complain. You were happy with Maarten and that showed. It will feel strange to see Maarten without you. We already miss you!

Dear Aunt Enny, I still remember the birthdays when a separate sweet table was set up for the children and they received a little gift when leaving while you were the one celebrating. You adored children. Years ago we were in Spain and you were there too with Dad and Mum, and we met up for a day in Barcelona. In recent years I occasionally paid a pleasant visit at Het Zonnehuis and we would have a drink, chat, sing and especially laugh, because you were always cheerful with a smile on your face. I will miss you, dear aunt! Rest in peace. Love, Mariska.

Dear Enny, I have known you for more than half my life. As the mother of, the wife of and the grandmother of. But above all I know you as the convivial, kind Enny who made jokes on the edge and just over it, haha. The "remember when" stories I still want to share with you. Remember your birthday when I was there at Het Zonnehuis. You were a ray of sunshine on a lovely summer day. How you enjoyed singing, laughing, the songs, your family around you. It was one of those days that felt perfect and happy. And there were more days like that. Look Enny, here we are together in the photo on such a day. That was when we celebrated the fourth at Remco and Charlene's in Bleiswijk. You were fully alive with what you had and could do. And when that was no longer possible in the final days, you pulled out all the stops to still give those last kisses. To your grandchildren. I heard it from Remco. How beautiful. The last kiss to you. Rest in peace, Enny.

Dear Enny, after all those years together I also want to share a few memories on this platform with everyone else who knew you. I chose a photo of us singing together in the choir “De Zonnestralen”, but also one from our trip years ago to the Canary Islands, and that portrait you had made especially with Remco and our dog Lingka the Labrador. Of course a beautiful wedding photo could not be missing, nor that photo of yourself you loved so much in later life. I have also added the video of the ukulele group performing specially for you in your room after you were no longer able to attend their performance.

Dear Mum, I still cannot grasp that I have to miss you. There are so many little things that keep reminding me of you. Your humour, your remarks without a filter and the way you were always completely yourself. We shared so many beautiful, funny and special moments together. From hours-long conversations to laughing about the strangest things. You always knew exactly how to make someone laugh—sometimes without even realising it. You adored your grandchildren. You could see it in everything. Thank you for everything you have given me, Mum. For your love, your humour, your strength and all the memories that will forever remain part of me. I love you. Forever your son. ❤️
